Has got to be ROTJ! I like them in reverse order. ROTJ ESB, New Hope and lastly EpI I liked part of Ep I But JajJar Binks was too comic like. If all the gungans had been like the bosses I might have dealt with it better, but otherwise the plot did fill in a lot of questions. i am looking forward to Ep II. Not to crazy about the title though!

My favorite episode is Return of the Jedi. I miss the movies. They are 3 hours away at my house. My mom didn't let me bring them because she said that the would "detract from my education." Star Wars movie withdrawl is not cool

I used to like ESB but well ROTJ has gotten to me lately. Must be all the fan fiction out there that happens after ROTJ. I had to leave my copies home when I was in school too! I was able to visit them on week-ends though!

egad! now I'm afraid of college! my mom once took my movies away as a punishment and proceeded to loose them for about a month. Not very nice. Now I have to be really careful with my collection. the post-rotj fics are really good. I still love the pre-esb ones the most. so much tension

Wow that's always a hard question! Um, I think it depends on my mood more than anything. It would be a toss up between A New Hope or Empire Strikes Back I reckon. Although I love the others as well. I really love the Cantina scene and all the creatures in it so A New Hope might just get the edge.... but then again... like I said it depends on my mood, hee.

In order:
1. ESB 2. ANH/TPM (they tie) 3. ROTJ
I have a feeling that AOTC will take over the No. 2 place.

Toryn- LOLOLOLOLOLOL about the hydrospanner scene hehehehehe. Anyway- I think my favorite is probably ESB- all the ROTJ bashing has slightly discouraged me, but the special effects are cool. Nevertheless, the H/L relationship, in my opinion, wasn't very well treated- which is why I love ESB- the beginning of it all! In addidtion...doesn't ESB make you wonder...about the trip to Bespin?? *SuperFilly*

ESB, no question there.
I will usually find other things to do while Luke is on the screen which makes it a good 'project' movie-you can work on something else during the slow parts. No offense to Luke fans, Yoda fans, Dagobah fans, but lets be real...I'm watching the movie for the umpteenth time and it's not because of Luke in the swamp.
Star Wars would be my second choice but often I will watch Jedi next, if I'm on a roll, so that Han gets thawed out. Then, finish up with Star Wars.
Maybe someday I will watch them all in order!

Here's what I wrote on Biography last night...
Subject Empire! Empire! (please read and reply!) Posted by SuperFilly Posted on 1/27/02 10:02 PM
IMHO, the best Star Wars film, by far, is Empire! Yes, as someone said earlier, people can disagree; yes, Mark Hammil said that he didn't like it as much, because it didn't have that traditional happy-go-lucky feeling to it; yes, Mark Hammil also said that it was disturbing that Harrison got 'turned into a coffee table'.
Despite all, I feel, very strongly, that ESB is the best. The special effects, which, one might argue, were not as good as those in ROTJ, were nevertheless better than in ANH. The asteroid chase was marvelous; the characters were developped to a much higher standard. By comparison, I found Jedi to be a bit too much of a quick conclusion; elaborate and intelligent on the Vader/Luke conflict, but a bit quick on the rest.
Secondly, relating to the characters, is there, in any other Star Wars movie, anything as piercing and smart as 'I am your father'? And the Han and Leia chemistry is priceless, further enhanced by the on-set, ongoing tension between Harrison and Carrie. All their lines have got to be the best banter I've possibly ever heard...'Scoundrel? Scounrel?...' etc.
Lastly, I would just like to finish by saying that ESB is simply an amazing shock, a turnaround that Star Wars has, once more IMHO, never been able to equal. Yet, perhaps the apparition of AOTC will change this.
