Wonderful idea!
Question: does everyone think that Han and Leia became lovers before they got married? Myself, I think they definitely did, though when, exactly, their first time was is something I fluctuate on.
I'm only asking to provide a guideline to the story.

Yes, I think they became lovers before they were married. I doubt either would want to wait after all they've been through.
When? If I was a betting gal, I would say right after the Ewok celebration. After the rescue of Han seems too rushed for any quality intimacy time.
What do y'all think? 8)

I've always thought it was after the ewok celebration, but I'm also sorta leaning to the trip to bespin as another possibility.

I'm not a "trip to Bespin" believer, although I've read some fabulous fanfic that's come mighty close to convincing me. I lean more toward "after fleeing Jabba's palace, but before regrouping with the Rebellion."

I prefer the Bespin trip, but if not then than there was no way Han was up to it after Jabba. I'd say it would have to be the ewok celebration.

I haven't read much fanfic but one story I did read was about a "flight to Bespin" love affair. Good story. Don't remember who wrote it or even the title (might very well be Flight to Bespin now that I think about it), but I tend to be skeptical about that time being the first. My only reason is because the kiss in the asteroid belt looked like a first kiss to me and who wants to rush into something as heavy as that after such a sweet first kiss?
Then again, Leia's attitude did soften a little once they landed on Cloud City. Hmm?
How about after the "Hold me" on Endor? Hee-hee! 8)

It would be nice, but they will have a lot on their mind then. Luke's leaving, how to get into the bunker, and Han is still not sure then if Leia is truely his.

Good point, starwarsfan68.
Okay, I go back to my original thought which was after the Ewok celebration.

I loved the book, felt everyone was written spot on(And IMO, Leia is rarely written well). My only problem was that Han and Leia at first felt too far apart. But I understand it(In my mind) now.
And they nearly did in Truce at Bakura, but were disturbed

ReaperFett, see the movies. If you see the movies, you will see the COPL does not contain well-written characterizations of neither Han nor Leia.
while I agree that Leia has not been treated very well by an of the EU bantha poo-doo, her characterization in COPL is probably the worst.
Give me Leia circa ESB when she's blasting the hell out of stormtroopers hoping to get to her Hanboy in time!

Of course you are allowed to your opinion. We all are.
In my opinion, the characters in COPL do not match the characters from the OT films that I grew up with. Therefore, IMO, COPL contains the worst characterizations of Leia, Han, and Luke of almost all of the EU novels.

I was *going to* buy COPL, but my friend adviced me not to, she told me pretty much what most of you have pointed out; it's way too much out of character.
So maybe I won't bother, but I was wondering, are there any other novels that focus on Han/Leia?

good move, its really a waste of money. Recovery by Troy Denning is an ebook that focuses mostly on them. It takes place during the NJO after BP, and i thought it was pretty good. I still think the best pro Han/Leia book is Hero for Hire by Donna Tauscher. Its a childrens book, so its not written all that well, but Han's thoughts on Leia and his past are priceless. Its really difficult to find good, pure, Han/Leia in the EU novels, but overall i enjoyed timothy zahns writing. all of these are available in the bookstore @ www.hanandleia.com/books.html

Thanks for the tips! Unfortunatly, I don't have a credit card, so I need to get them from a local store. Also, I heard a lot of Star Wars-novels are translated to Spanish, so I'm reading some for my Spanish-class.
I'm combining fun & work. =)
