(WARNING LEAVE IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 ) Did Kelly McGillis make you fly in Top Gun? Did she light your candle in Witness? While watching The Accused did you want Kelly to 'cross examine' you? Then you're not alone! This is our tribute to Kelly in ALL her glory! She's chock full of McAmishy Goodness! So.. pull up a chair, take off your girlie bits and let it all hang out! (shake it all around. Do the hokey pokey and you turn around...) That's what it's all about! So come on in for a slice of non-platonically chronic McGillisness! Discalimer: We're not really gay. We just like talent

Um... nothing personal but give me Carrie Fisher any day over this.
I find it funny, given the conversation that occurred on the Return of Indy thread, that there are pictures of Ms. McGillis au natural included in this attempt to show her as a "talented" actress.
IMHO, of course.

What do you mean, you'd prefer Carrie Fisher? You want to see her naked or something? Have you seen what she looks like now? She might have been pretty back then but now All the drugs have definitely gotten to her. Kelly and Harrison have incredibly chemistry in Witness. They didn't need some banter to make their romance - they did it all with longing looks and subtle touches. Just watch Harrison's eyes when he walks towards Kelly singing "Don't know much about history..." He never gave that kind of intense look to Carrie.

What I meant, dear Glitter-bug, is that I prefer to let talent win out over the flashing of body parts. Carrie has never needed to run around on screen naked in order to play a role convincingly.
And also, Carrie is just a very funny, very intelligent, and very witty person who doesn't need to take off her clothes to get attention. All she need do is grab a pen and paper.
And I have seen Carrie recently and I think she looks fine.
Since you have yet to even see a Star Wars film, how can you say there are no smoldering looks between Harrison and Carrie?

Amen, RebelHawk!
Even though it would have fulfilled the wet dreams of countless fanboys, Carrie never flashed her breasts or appeared nude in any of her movies.
Carrie looks fine to me these days. Yes, she's a little rough around the edges, but I don't expect her to look like a supermodel at 45, especially considering all she's been through. I thought she was adorable when she interviewed Lucas on her show. Lucas thought so too; he kept telling her how cute she was even though she was taking swipes at her own looks.

Thanks, Shelley. ;D Glitterbug, I also don't think it's quite fair of you to compare Carrie now to Kelly McGillis from 1986. To be fair, compare both of them now or both of them then. And thank you, Toryn, for disputing the "smoldering looks" comment. You've got some great Han and Leia pictures on your site.

Thanks, Toryn. I think those pics prove that Harrison and Carrie had quite a bit of chemistry, both on and offscreen. As for smoldering looks, they exchange plenty of 'em in the OT. I just love how they stare at each other as Han is being lowered into the carbon-freezing pit. If that isn't a smoldering look, I don't know what is. And that intense, unblinking look Han gives Leia as he moves in to kiss her on the Falcon... *thud* RebelHawk, you're soooo right...it is unfair to compare Carrie now to McGillis in 1986, when she's in her 20s. It reminds me of how fanboys compare Carrie to Natalie Portman, who's some 25 years younger. Here's some pics of Carrie when she was in her 20s. I think they show that she was quite lovely (thanks again to Toryn because they're from her site):

those are lovely pictures of carrie! i have nothing against McGillis, but i've seen a number of her pictures and she doesn't look good all the time. there are even a handful of pics where she looks like a man, its probably her bone structure. its a too sharp for me but hey! we don't look good all the time right?

Beautiful argument for the smoldering looks, by the way! (And the 'chemistry'!) One question: I've seen that last picture in the chemistry argument in a few different places and I've always wondered what the context was? Was that strictly an acting thing going on there or was that a real Ford/Fisher relationship situation? Just wondering...
